An office that feels like home

Can a company’s headquarters resemble a family house? Why not! The ‘office house’ concept has been recently developed by the Warsaw-based 81.WAW.PL architectural studio.

It is a three-storey building (including one underground level). It offers 800 sqm of usable space with a 430 sqm footprint. Technical rooms and a garage with five car spaces can be found on the underground level. On the ground floor there’s a spacious entrance hall, three conference rooms and a kitchen, while the first floor has three office rooms and a reception hall. The many glazed walls inside the building add plenty of light to the interiors.

The location of this house is the resort town of Sopot on the Baltic coast. “This is why we have created a building that features elements of maritime landscapes and nature. Its meandering shape evokes sea currents and the irregular pattern of waves created by the wind,” said Anna Paszkowska-Grudziąż, an architect at 81.WAW.PL.
