The future lies in the regional markets

"Demand for the office space accommodating business services providers has been growing significantly over the last few years. Such projects always constituted a big share of our portfolio as we have been very active in the regional cities. Now we are operating on six Polish markets: Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków. And the biggest office demand we observe there comes from the business services sector. In our case, tenants from this sector accounted for 80 pct of the leased space last year", says Arkadiusz Rudzki, leasing and asset director, Skanska.
For Skanska the future lies in the regional markets. "We think about entering the new cities, but it will depend on the needs of our customers, namely the investment funds that buy projects from us," adds Arkadiusz Rudzki.
In his opinion smaller cities like Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Opole, Kielce, Białystok and Rzeszów have some future, but they will rather act as satellites for larger already established markets.
