Light It Up Blue raises awareness of autism

On April 1st and 2nd, 2016 the Light It Up Blue charity action will once again see key Polish commercial and public buildings being lit up in blue in order to raise awareness of autism. The very special initiative, held by nine property companies, including CBRE, Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, NAI Estate Fellows, Heitman, JLL, Knight Frank, Kulczyk Silverstein and Savills, is part of a global annual action set up by the Autism Speaks charity in 2011. In Poland it is coordinated by the Synapsis foundation.

Over 90 countries joined the initiative last year, when such buildings as the Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House, Christ the Redeemer in Rio and the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw were all illuminated in blue. ‘Eurobuild CEE’ is the action’s media partner. Apart from providing blue illumination for the buildings they manage, the companies involved will also educate their employees on autism and fund raise.
