Urban bees on Eurocentrum Office Complex

Eight bee hives are located on the roof of Eurocentrum Office Complex in Warsaw. 400,000 bee live at the height of 60 meters. The investor of the building is Capital Park Group. Beekeepers will collect first honey in July.

Urban beekeeping is growing trend in Poland. Nowaday, Warsaw has 400 hives. Beekeeping is more popular in the others Europe capital for example in Berlin. “In city parks grow many melliferous trees, including lindens, maples and acacias, but bees can make honey also from the balcony plants and gardening. This mixture of nectars creates the original tastes for example chestnut and willow” said Kamil Baj, owner company Pszczelarium who placed hives on the roof of Eurocentrum.
