Bydgoszcz is one of the most active towns in terms of the implementation of BPO projects. The town came first in the ‘Doing Business in Poland 2015’ ranking which was created by the World Bank Group. The victory confirms that this is a place which is the easiest in terms of operating business in Poland. What categories were taken into consideration? For example the period needed in order to obtain a building permit, the period needed to open a company, make an entry in the land and mortgage register and pursue claims. Bydgoszcz came first in all the categories. It is also worth noting that it was the third town in the country to offer a one-window service in terms of business registration. It also won the ‘Investor-Friendly City’ title in the sixth edition of Eurobuild Awards competition which is organized by ‘Eurobuild CEE’. Bydgoszcz defeated ten cities and towns in the competition. The city is trying to create a very good climate for external investors. It does not only indicate optimal locations but also takes into consideration investors’ expectations while planning e.g. the development of infrastructure. In 2013 the town established Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency, which is meant to acquire and service investors at every project stage as well as promote the town’s economic opportunities and support entrepreneurship. The agency is the host of a meeting devoted to companies which operate on the market of office space in Bydgoszcz.
