Good new from statisticians

Construction and assembly production was 6.3 percent greater in March than in the previous year and 31.8 greater than in February 2004. The Central Office of Statistics displayed that, compared with March 2003, jobs performed by finishing companies were 79.6 percent further advanced, by those specialising in erecting construction and operating in civil engineering were 6.3 percent further advanced and by units introducing building technical systems - 3.7 percent. Construction and assembly production between January and March this year was 4.3 percent below that in the same period of 2003.

Who will build the Marymont underground railway station?

There are seven companies participating in the tender to construct the "Marymont" station for Warsaw's underground railway. The cheapest is that of Warbud (56.8 million zlotys), followed by Skanska (60.4 million zlotys), the PeBeKa and PRG Metro consortium (60.1 million zlotys), Maxer (60.4 million zlotys), Hydrobudowa 6 (66.9 million zlotys), Budimex (64.1 million zlotys) and Mitex (69.4 million zlotys). The tender is to be resolved this month, with work to commence in December and end in two years time.

Warbud on the construction of Andersia Tower

Warbud construction company has signed a contract to construct till zero state the Andresia Tower office-hotel-shopping complex at Andersa Square in Poznań. The estimated net value of the contract is 2.9 million euros. The Andersia Tower investor is Andersia Property connected with the Von der Hyden Group. The complex of 44,000 sqm is to cost around 50 million dollars.
