Logistics centre in Katowice Special Economic Zone

Maco Polska, a subsidiary of the Austrian window fittings' producer the Maco Group, is to build a storage and logistics distribution centre in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, situated in Gliwice southern Poland.
The company, founded in Poland in October 1998, has just won a tender and has decided that its current facility in Czekanów, which is near Gliwice, is too small for its current operations and hopes to move to the new centre in 2004.  Administration procedures should be complete by the end of the year and construction will begin next Spring, once the general constructor is chosen. Maco Polska will eventually have three high-storage warehouses of 10,000 sqm as well as office space, on sixty per cent of their 2 hectare plot in the KSEZ.

Third facility in ProLogis Park Błonie leased

ProLogis have announced that they have now fully leased their 17,417 sqm warehouse in Błonie. P&O Trans European with 12,195 sqm and Polifarb Cieszyn-Wrocław, (a Polish paint and varnish producer), with 5,222 sqm, will occupy the facility. The latter company, who already lease space in Building Two of the park, will thus increase their total presence to 8,711 sqm.
ProLogis Park Błonie consists of three buildings totalling 54,000 sqm and current customers in the first and second buildings include: L'Oreal, Bruhn Transport, Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne and Polta.
