Qubus in Gliwice

Norwegian hotel operator Qubus Hotel Management is to open its 7th hotel in Poland - a 3-star, 103-room hotel - in Gliwice, Silesia. Echo Investment is the developer of the project on ul. Dworcowa, scheduled to open at the beginning of 2003.

 

Accor opens hotels in Krakow

Accor opened two new hotels in Krakow last month, both developed by Echo Investment. One is a 3-star, 194-room Novotel hotel and the other is a 2-star, 176- room Ibis. Accor, which is the second biggest hotel operator in Europe, recorded an EUR 474 million net profit in 2001, a 6% increase over 2000.

 

Wanted: hotel developer

Local authorities in Niepolomice near Kraków are looking for a company to renovate part of a Royal Castle and turn it into a hotel at an estimated cost of PLN 4 million.
Reconstruction of the 14th-Century castle started 10 years ago and has been financed by the borough. A conference and concert centre is close to completion. (Source: ,Puls Biznesu")

 

Park Plaza hotels

The Europe-Israel Group has announced that it's setting up a subsidiary, Park Plaza, to conduct hotel investments in Poland. The group also owns Plaza Centers, which builds retail centres in this country. (Source: ,Puls Biznesu")
