7,320 apartments were built in February this year, 6,5 % less than the same time last year and 1,8 % less than in January, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Almost half (3,268) were built by private individuals, an increase of 8% over last year.

 

Skanska's new apartment project near WTT

Skanska is planning a new residential project called 'Os Saska', although when the development goes ahead depends on its reception at the coming Warsaw Residential Fair at the Torwar Hall in Warsaw this weekend.
'Os Saska' project will consist of one 120-apartment building with apartments ranging from 61-198 sqm. It will be situated on the corner of u Chlodna, Wronia and Ogrodowa streets close to Daepol's Warsaw Trade Tower. Skanska will be the developer and general contractor of the project. Meanwhile, the company has decided to postpone its 75-apartment Zlota Wieza project in Krakow till 2003, when the company believes demand will have increased. The Swedish developer will go ahead when it feels it can sell at least 50% of the apartments during the construction process.
