Spring awakening

Editorial
It’s April. Spring is in the air. You can finally sit out in the warm, spring sun, on the terrace of a modern office building, pick up the latest issue of ‘Eurobuild CEE’, and immerse yourself in some of the sector’s main topics.

While we’re on the subject of new office buildings, it’s worth reading the interview with Adam and Krzysztof Pykel, who reveal the latest details of the office developments they are planning in Port Praski in Warsaw. The warm weather and the upcoming long weekend might also encourage you to go on a trip and even stay in a hostel. Their popularity (and quality) has been on an upward curve in Poland, which you can find out more about in our article entitled ‘Hostel Takeover’. But let’s go back to the first scene for a moment – your coffee-and-Eurobuild break on the office terrace. To experience this in the best way possible you need either an office with a terrace, or at least a bright, spacious and green workstation. This is not always the case, which is why the expert advice that can be found in our ‘Rethinking the Office’ article should be helpful when it comes to rearranging your interiors to improve your employees’ well-being and efficiency. As you should know full well, your surroundings are important for your business – and this is something that is especially evident in our report of this year’s bustling MIPIM trade fair in Cannes. Perhaps as everything comes back to life, this spring will also be stimulating time in Poland and the CEE region, with a flood of new proptech ideas, tempting for funds everywhere – as we explain in the article ‘Starting Up and Catching Up’. Meanwhile, I’ll be tiptoeing through the tulips, enjoying the spring... until the one thing that’s better than it comes along: summer!
