Monika Kotynia has been nominated to the position of water business line director.

The change of leadership is a result of the rapid growth of the sector and follows strategic project wins, such as plans to adapt 44 Polish cities to climate change, and update the flood risk maps for the entire country. She has ten years of experience in the assessment of water treatment technology, and water and sewage installations. Her areas of expertise cover environmental protection, chemical engineering, and management for public, scientific and private clients. She joined Arcadis in 2014 and since then has been involved in the largest projects of the Water Team in Poland, such as flood risk and hazard management plans for the lower and middle Vistula, and other commissions, such as environmental and water audits in industrial and real estate sectors. Prior to joining Arcadis, she worked in public institutions, being responsible for implementing, budgeting and evaluating research, development and investment projects, which were financed by European Union funds and other transnational and inter-regional programs. Monika has a PhD in chemical engineering and an MSc in environmental engineering. She is also a certified auditor. Since 1998 she has been a member of the Polish Chemical Society.
