Gheorghe Marian Cristescu

Gheorghe Marian Cristescu, the current director of Best Western in Poland, has been appointed the director of Best Western International in Poland and the Baltics. So far Gheorghe Marian reported to BW Hotels Osuuskunta, the office representing the Best Western chain across Finland, the Baltic countries and Poland. The appointment comes as the role of the Polish branch in Central and Northern Europe is on the rise. Gheorghe Marian joined Best Western in 2011. His tasks will include the supervision of the Best Western hotels in Poland and the Baltic States and the coordination of investment negotiations and acquisitions. Gheorghe Marian is the winner of the Personality of the Year 2012 prize awarded by the ‘Hotelarz’ magazine. He is also the winner of the Person of the Year category in the Prime Property Prize 2012 competition and a nominee of the Hotelier of the Year 2013 award granted by the HRS. Gheorghe Marian, who is interested in sports, history and geography, speaks fluent Romanian, Polish, English and Spanish.
