Paweł Smoleń has been appointed a member of the board of Erbud. In his new position, Paweł will be responsible for the group’s development in the industrial and power sectors, both across Poland and abroad. Paweł will also supervise Erbud Industry, an Erbud subsidiary which provides the engineering and maintenance services for the manufacturing and power segments. He will take up the new position on September 1st, 2015. In 2014-2015 Paweł was a partner at Deloitte Consulting, where he was responsible for the Polish power and natural resources segments. Until 2015 he served as the president of the EURACOAL ( European Association for Coal and Lignite). Prior, he worked as PGE’s vice-president of the board responsible for operations. Until 2010 he was in charge of Vattenfall Heat Poland (formerly Elektrociepłownie Warszawskie, now PGNiG Termika) as the president of the board, among others. For the next two years he was the director of strategy, development and energy business of Vattenfall Europe group in Germany as well as the director of central management of production assets of the entire Vattenfall group. Also, in 1992-2001 he worked at Arthur Andersen as a partner responsible for the power industry. Paweł, who graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology with a degree in materials engineering, holds a post-graduate diploma in marketing and market analysis from the Warsaw School of Economics. A general third degree mining director, he is also a member of the audit associations in Poland (KIBR) and the UK (ACCA).
