Polish logistics market buzzes with activity

2014 has been seeing an increased activity on the Polish logistics market. There is a lot going on in both warehousing sales and lease transactions. This naturally translates into greater demand for talent as well. Companies search for new people to work in nearly every single area of the investment process, starting with land acquisition, project management, and ending with sales. Thus it should come as no surprise that logistics is the most dynamic recruitment environment of all the commercial real estate sectors now. Commercial real estate agencies look for staff at all levels to lease out logistics space: from junior to director positions. Developers, on the other hand, strengthen their ranks by mainly employing development, project and transaction managers. Meanwhile, investment funds, subject to their strategies, mostly look for facility managers, financial analysts and asset managers. Also, promotions and transfers are very common on the logistics market. Peter Bečár has been promoted to the head of the CEE region at P3. Eva Doyle has resigned from her KPMG position to join P3’s acquisition department as merger and acquisition consultant. In June, Segro appointed Dominik Różański as investment manager for Central Europe. Certainly, more industry transfers are to be announced by the end of the year. Especially that those players which have not yet entered the Polish logistics market now start acknowledging the sector’s attractiveness. We expect some new entrants to start their operations in the upcoming months.
