Public transit growth stimulates Warsaw property market

The combined retail area available nearby the stations of the first Warsaw underground line amounts to app. 320,000 sqm. The total area of existing offices located close to the stations of the second underground line stands at app. 540,000 sqm. Meanwhile, a total of 210,000 sqm of new office space is currently being developed near the second line stations. Given already approved construction projects and investment plans for the next few years, the amount of the office space will grow two-fold. The second line of Warsaw’s underground will be an excellent solution for people commuting to work, particularly taking into consideration the fact that supply of office space near the stations of the second underground line will exceed 1 mln sqm in the near future. The vast majority of the office buildings are either already located, or will be developed, near the ONZ roundabout and Daszyńskiego roundabouts. Thus Warsaw’s Wola district, especially the part located closely to the city centre, will become a modern business district with good transit links, which will resemble London City.
