CZECH REPUBLIC Nupharo has launched the construction of its Nupharo Park technological and innovation centre dedicated to smart energy and promotion of new technologies in Ústí nad Labem.
In its first phase, Nupharo Park will offer 16,000 sqm of leasable space comprising production facilities, offices, incubator, conference and training halls and space for out-door and in-door exhibitions. A welcome centre is also to be built, equipped with a restaurant, accommodation, a training and education centre, day-care for children and a gym. "We want to create a model community that promotes high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion to achieve a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy by 2020," explains Milan Ganik, the founder and CEO of Nupharo. Investment costs for the private project comes to more than CZK 750 mln, of which CZK 300 mln is being provided by EU funds. The complex is scheduled to open in June 2015.
