Extended Wola Park now open
Retail & leisureCustomers are now able to shop in both the property’s newly-launched and older sections. Wola Park has been joined by a total of 35 new tenants. Three of them are the international brands that make a debut on the Polish market. These include the Collin’s fashion retail brand and two restaurant chains: DQ Grill&Chill (a part of the DQ fast-food chain owned by Warren Buffett) as well as Fuddruckers. The largest units of the extended mall are to be occupied by Castorama (a 10,000 sqm store under new format), TK Maxx (2,000 sqm), Toys”R”Us (1,700 sqm) and Mango (1,100 sqm).
Wola Park is nearly fully leased. Other tenants of the mall’s newly-opened section include Komputronik, Akademia Tańca M&I Sulewscy, Białe czy Czerwone?, Carte d'Or, Carel Beauty Clinic, Cotton Club, English Home, Green Caffè Nero, Koko & Bouquet, Kontigo, Main Suits, Matras, MBank, Militaria.pl, Mon Amie, Pawo, RTV Euro AGD, Sinsay and Ziaja. Meanwhile Bubba Gamp, butik Liza, Bytom, Colin’s, Devered 1902, Esotiq, Flormar, Orignal Marines, Pepco, Recman, Tiger and Vanila.
The 17,500 sqm extension of Wola Park lasted 15 months. The shopping centre’s total area now reaches 77,500 sqm as it accommodates more than 200 stores. An extra level of the car park has also been built within the extension project. Thanks to this the number of parking spaces in the facility, namely 3,000, was maintained. IKEA Centres has also modernized the older section of the mall where floors have been exchanged, the interior design was refurbished and some elements of landscape architecture were introduced. Everything was arranged in accordance with the new Scandinavian style interior design so that the shopping centre seems bright and spacious. Also, Wola Park’s food court has undergone some significant changes. It has been moved to the second floor and is now situated next to Multikino and a Calypso fitness club, where it takes 1,200 sqm of space housing 14 restaurant tenants, including McDonald’s, KFC, Berlin Döner Kebap, Olimp, Ichiban Sushi, ZenThai Asia Food, North Fish, Mleczarnia Jerozolimska, Freshpoint, Bioway and Yogen Früz. “This is not the end of the changes which we have planned for Wola Park. We plan on continuing our work and focus on the revitalization of the surroundings of the property,” said Dagmara Pozowska, a manager of Wola Park.
