Hilton announces details of second Łódź hotel
HotelsThis would form part of an office and hotel complex is to be built at ul. Piotrkowska 155. Investment costs for the project would come to PLN 165 mln. The hotel building will include 149 rooms, three conference rooms and a fitness centre. The reception will be located on the second floor while the ground and the first floors will contain shops and services. An adjacent office tower with a height of 76m will have 21,000 sqm of class ‘A’ office space. There are also plans to develop a small office building (which could include a medical centre) facing onto ul. Piotrkowska, the architecture of which would complement that of the street. The opening of the Hampton by Hilton Łódź has been scheduled for early 2018, with the building permit application now underway. Construction work could start in the spring.
“We are very grateful for the cooperation so far and the help we have received from the city authorities in terms of the construction of this unique project in the inner city centre, opposite the newly-opened Piotrkowska Centrum stop. Thanks to our fruitful cooperation we will be able to create a special place combining a hotel of the Hilton Worldwide chain with the tallest, and in our opinion the best, office building in Łódź,” declared George Mula, the president of the board of Integrated Finance Group and the director of Bacoli Properties.
The project is being carried out by Integrated Finance Group and Bacoli Properties – the owner of the property, whose shareholders are the Tatorul and Tannenberg companies. Bacoli Properties represents the investor as well as the developer – Master Management Group. The PRC Architekci studio is responsible for the architectural design.
“Only 10 pct of the facilities operating on the Łódź market are well-known, branded hotels, so we feel that this segment is not fully represented yet. We have noted the popularity enjoyed by the DoubleTree by Hilton Łódź hotel and we are glad that it became the leading upper class hotel in such a short period of time. Meanwhile, Hampton by Hilton Łódź is an opportunity for us to support the economy class market,” announced Patrick Fitzgibbon, the senior vice-president responsible for development in Europe and Africa at Hilton Worldwide.
The new hotel will include a fitness area and a round-the-clock snack bar. The portfolio of the Hampton by Hilton brand in Poland currently includes ten hotels in operation or under preparation. Another hotel under the Hampton by Hilton brand is to be opened in Jelenia Góra in 2016.
