Sheraton Kraków goes Grand

POLAND Sheraton Kraków Hotel has been added to the list of 25 Sheraton Grand facilities in the world and has been renamed Sheraton Grand Kraków. The global Sheraton Hotels & Resorts chain appreciates the Polish hotel for its location – on a bend of the river Vistula at the foot of the Wawel citadel.

“We are very satisfied that we can develop the heritage of the Sheraton brand in Central and Eastern Europe even further, thanks to the introduction of the first Sheraton Grand hotel in Poland. Sheraton Grand Kraków is an excellent example of our involvement on the Polish market, which already includes six our hotels that have been successfully operating and where we want to continue to expand our portfolio,” said Thomas Willms, the vice-president and CEE regional director of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts chain. Sheraton Grand Kraków comprises 232 rooms and suites, which are currently being refurbished. All the premium rooms have recently been refurbished. The renovation of the hotel should be completed by the end of 2017 and will feature interiors designed by London-based architect Alex Kravetz. Sheraton Grand is an initiative which is being undertaken as part of the Sheraton 2020 strategy aimed at focusing attention on Sheraton hotels all over the world. The aim is to reposition the Sheraton brand, increase revenues and extend the portfolio of hotels by 150 more until 2020.
