Architecture and urban planningThe rentable co-working area is being marketed at companies as well as freelancers. The investor behind The Brain Embassy is Adgar Poland. It covers an area of over 1,600 sqm with a total of 250 workstations – 140 open space and 110 in separate rooms, occupied the area of the former Era control room, which was later the headquarters of T-Mobile. A mezzanine has been constructed, adding a work area of 500 sqm. “We were the first on the Polish market to introduce a range of amenities to office buildings, including conference centres, nursery schools and the AdgarFit sports centre. The Brain Embassy is another project which introduces global trends to our market and takes the co-working concept to another level,” said Eyal Litwin, the present of the board at Adgar Poland. The area has been specially designed – The Brain Embassy offers the possibility of working in an in-office tree house or in cable cars There are also a treadmill, a room with a punch bag and a basketball hoop. Tenants of The Brain Embassy will have access to an events area with a capacity for 200 people, conference rooms as well as other informal meeting places (the Brainstorm Room, the Floating Ideas Room, the Knowledge Room and the Nap Room). Costs for the construction of the first stage of the project came to more than PLN 7 mln. Bartosz Trzop of the Trzop Architekci architectural studio and Kinnarps were responsible for the architectural concept, design and decoration of the interior. Artservis was involved in the fitting out work. “Our company has been carrying out projects in over 40 countries for many years and it has been promoting the best standards of workspace organisation in terms of ergonomics, ecology and design. The Brain Embassy project, which we have had the pleasure of developing in cooperation with Adgar Poland, is the first such innovative example of the office of the future, which are now being developed in some the largest conurbations all over the world,” claimed Beata Osiecka, the president of Kinnarps Polska.
The eventual area of The Brain Embassy will amount to 3,000 sqm. The second stage of the project, in which the co-working area will cover the entire fifth floor, is to be completed at the beginning of 2017. Adgar Poland is not planning to stop there. “Over the next three years the company aims to increase such space in our Polish portfolio to a total of 20,000 sqm including this location. As far as new projects are concerned, we are only interested in the centre of Warsaw,” said Katarzyna Bobowska-Caruso, the head of strategy and business development at Adgar Poland.
