POLAND Global Hospitality Licencing, a subsidiary of Marriott International, has signed a franchise agreement with the owners of the Centrum Praskie Konser mixed-use project in Warsaw’s Praga district for the opening of a Moxy hotel. The hotel with 141 rooms and occupying 5,447 sqm of space will be the first Moxy to open in Warsaw. It is scheduled to open next year.
Located in a renovated five-storey former vodka distillery on ul. Ząbkowska, the hotel is to feature high-speed WiFi, a bar, underground parking, 24/7 self-service Grab & Go catering and ample power points for personal electronic devices. “Our research confirms that Old Praga is one of the trendiest places in Warsaw with great potential for tourism, and Moxy Warsaw Praga will fill the accommodation supply gap on the right bank of the Vistula river. We are happy that the investors of Koneser have chosen a world famous hotel brand which fits in so well with their project's spirit," said Alex Kloszewski, managing partner of Hotel Professionals, the appointed operator of the Koneser hotel. The hotel will be the integral part of the lifestyle offer of Centrum Praskie Koneser. The 100,000 sqm project is to offer a broad selection of retail outlets, loft style offices including Campus Warsaw and a Google Space startup incubator, and comfortable residential space. It will also boast an event and conference centre, public squares for social and cultural events, as well as the world's first Polish vodka museum. Centrum Praskie Koneser, which is being developed by Liebrecht & Wood Group and BBI Development is scheduled to open at the end of next year.
