Third triathlon in Alchemia in Gdańsk
Alchemia complex in Gdańsk will be dominated by enthusiasts of three disciplines
POLAND First they will swim, then they will ride a bicycle and finally they will run. On February 25th, the Alchemia mixed-use complex in Gdańsk will be a triathlon arena for the third time.
It is the only triathlon event in Poland that is organized in winter and, because of this, it takes place under a roof, in the Alchemia complex and in the Sportstacja precisely. The Alchemia complex is located at al. Grunwaldzka 411 in Gdańsk. Participants will compete not only individually this year but also in relay races. In the course of the competition they will collect funds to support the BadaBada programme which is carried out by the Synapsis foundation. “It is the third edition of Torus Triathlon In Da House i.e. continuously growing excitement, joy and ‘tightening the screw’ both on the organizational level and the sports level. Subscriptions lasted 22 minutes this year and the reserve list included nearly four times more people compared to the number of people that can take part. Thus the work of the entire team translated into a great interest in the competition which use the potential of Alchemia in a unique way. This year we also collect funds to support the programme of early autism detection in children. So the TTIDH competition became a platform for the integration of various environments, triathlonists and enthusiasts of this discipline, institutions as well as business and employees of individual companies,” says Monika Brzozowska from Torus, the organizer of the competition and the developer of Alchemia.
On Saturday February 25th, the recreational and sports section of the Alchemia complex in Gdańsk will be dominated by enthusiasts of three disciplines. Winter is naturally not a starting period for triathlonists, so the entire competition takes place under a roof and provides an opportunity to participate in the course of the preparation period while supporters can accompany competitors practically from the start to the finish line. Amateurs, professionals, women and men will compete in the sprint distance (swimming 750 metres in the swimming pool, cycling 20 km in a training simulator and running 5 km on a treadmill) in individual categories. A business relay race – ‘Business In Da House’ will be a new element and it will certainly activate a lot of employees of local companies, including their bosses. Partners of the campaign are: Aquastacja, Sportstacja, Tiger Gym, Zachart Studio, TYR, Reino Partners, Refresh Yourself, Fun Climb, Thule, Tri magic, Dafi, WF.
