Eight studios entered the competition after its announcement in October 2016. “The designs were different and truly professional, which is why choosing the best one was both interesting and difficult,” said the general director of PST, Dalius Gesevičius, who also chaired the panel of judges. Šeškinės Projektai, the developer of the project, is a subsidiary of Panevėžio Statybos Trestas (PST), the company that owns the 7,200 sqm plot at 219 Ukmergės street. The buildings will stand on Šeškinė hill giving them a panoramic view of the city. The project, which has estimated development costs of EUR 22 mln, will offer 16,000 sqm gla including some retail and service space. Construction work is to start this year with delivery scheduled for 2018.
