POLAND Alstal has won the tender to build a Radiotherapy Centre for the Provincial Hospital in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The project’s development costs come to PLN 66 mln with around PLN 22 mln to be financed by EU subsidies. The centre will have a gba of 5,500 sqm and a useable area of almost 3,000 sqm. As well as radiotherapy the centre will offer a number of other cancer treatments as well as a hospice with 26 beds. The facility will include two linear particle accelerators, a CT scanner as well as radiotherapy rooms and laboratories. “The hospital will soon provide us with the space and we will start as soon as possible,” says Jarosław Szczupak, the CEO of Alstal. The construction contract is worth just under PLN 31 mln. The building is to be completed at the end of July 2018, with the centre to open half a year later.
