Marquard in West Station
POLAND Marquard Media Polska is to move into the West Station office building on Al. Jerozolimskie in Warsaw’s Ochota district.

The publisher will occupy 1,800 sqm in the complex. Knight Frank represented the tenant for this transaction. Marquard Media Polska, which will be moving from its current offices in the city’s central Śródmieście district, has been operating on the Polish media market since 1992, publishing magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Joy, Hot Moda, Shape, Playboy and CKM and also runs a dozen or so internet services.

“We wanted the new location to have all the local amenities as well as excellent transport and service infrastructure,” explains Artur Sutor, the director of the tenant representation department at Knight Frank.

“Companies and their staff can not only use comfortable offices but also have shorter journeys to work thanks to the easy access to the various means of transport. So we are pleased that the advantages of West Station have been appreciated by another tenant,” comments Grzegorz Strutyński, the commercial director and a member of the board at HB Reavis Poland, the developer of the property.

West Station is a joint project by HB Reavis, PKP and Xcity Investment. It comprises the new building of the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station and two fourteen-storey office buildings. The construction of the second of these should be completed in Q3 this year. The entire project will contain 68,000 sqm of leasable space. It has been awarded a BREEAM Interim certificate with a rating of ‘Excellent’.
