Eurobuild CEE 12 May 2017
Slovakia’s tallest tower to stand on banks of Danube
The developer is currently in the process of applying for the necessary environmental permits
SLOVAKIA J&T Real Estate has presented the preliminary design for a mixed-use complex with a 170m skyscraper that it intends to develop in Bratislava.

The 46-storey tower will be the tallest in Slovakia and will comprise residential apartments while the Eurovea 2 project will also include the extension of an existing shopping centre from 59,000 to 84,000 sqm, a second residential building built on the banks of the Danube and two office blocks with a combined gla of 40,000 sqm.

The developer is currently in the process of applying for the necessary environmental permits. The architectural concept is by the GFI studio. Eurovea 2 represents the extension of the Eurovea project on the banks of the Danube, which was launched in 2010 by Irish developer Ballymore Properties, and originally comprised 250 apartments, 23,000 sqm of offices and 55,000 sqm of retail and as well as a five-star Sheraton hotel built on a 46.5 ha site. In 2014 the complex was purchased by a consortium led by J&T Real Estate, which is owned by Peter Korbačka, for around EUR 360 mln.
