Tomek graduated from the faculty of modern languages at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he also started his journalist career in the late 1980s. He has worked in the real estate press since 2005, covering the residential market for ‘Eurobuild CEE’ magazine as well as the new technologies and property management sectors. Sometimes he can be heard on Polish Radio 2, where he reviews the press on the morning programme. At other times he can be seen in the Bieszczady or Beskid Niski mountains, where he enjoys rambling with no fixed purpose or destination in mind.

Park Centralny to be built in Gdynia
POLAND A development concept has been drawn up to transform a square in the centre of Gdynia over the next three years into Park Centralny.

The centrepiece of the PLN 35 mln project will be a pond with benches, a footbridge and an area for playing boules. A tourist information centre is also to be built and catering provided. An 800m jogging path is to be created around the park as well as an 850m roller skating route. The park will also feature an ice rink in winter. An all-year-round underground car park for almost 300 vehicles will be built.

“Gdynia will be gaining another multifunctional and public area worthy of a modern city,” declared Wojciech Szczurek, the mayor of Gdynia.

The park will be bounded by al. Piłsudskiego, ul. Świętojańska and ul. Legionów. The neighbouring Skwer Sue Ryder, where a skatepark and a playground opened in 2014, has already been partly developed.
