ETC Swarzędz better inside
Retail & leisureThe completion of the renovation work has been scheduled for Q4 2017. ETC Swarzędz is the oldest shopping centre in Wielkopolska province. The modernisation involves improvements to the interior design and the furnishing of units and public areas. Relaxation areas and children’s play areas to be added as well as a food zone.
“We want ETC Swarzędz to become not only a convenient and comfortable shopping location, but also a place for meetings, relaxation and enjoying yourself,” explains Marcin Juszczyk, a member of the board of Capital Park group, which is developing the centre in a joint venture with Akron Group. “To ensure that our future customers as well as tenants, many of whom are local businesses, to feel good in our centre, we have decided that our interior design will refer to the traditions of the furniture industry, which is so important in this region. The interiors will be dominated by natural motifs and textures, such as wood and greenery. We hope that by introducing such elements, including extensive natural light, customers will be given a feeling of greater freedom. We want them to be able to identify with the centre, by rooting it in the traditions that are important to them,” he adds.
The renovation work started in May 2016, since when three detached buildings have already been connected into a single centre. Work on the façade and four passageways is still to take place, while a food zone and relaxation areas are also to be added. After the completion of the renovation work, the entire area of the centre will amount to 20,000 sqm with app. 80 stores. These will include such local retailers as Mine Wine, Kids OK, Prestige Obuwie, travel agency Jamajka, Don Lucci and The Florist. Popular chains will also be present:, including Intermarché, Reserved, Martes Sport, Pepco, CCC, an Olimp restaurant, Diverse, KiK, Deichmann, Vision Express, Swiss, Rossmann, Drogeria Natura, Empik, Maxi Zoo, Zielona Budka, RTV Euro AGD, Top Secret, Yes, Apteka Heureka and Organic Farma. BOIG is responsible for the leasing process, while the general contractor for the renovation project is Doraco.
