Mostostal to build Mennica Residence II

09 August 2017

POLAND Mennica Polska is starting the construction of the Mennica Residence II luxury apartment building having appointed Mostostal Warszawa as the general contractor in a contract worth over PLN 103 mln.

The building, which is being developed between ul. Żelazna, ul. Grzybowska, ul. Waliców and ul. Pereca in Warsaw is designed in the Manhattan style and will have an area of nearly 45,000 sqm with retail, office and residential sections as well as a three-level underground car park.

The residential section (on floors 3-15) will include 335 apartments with from one to six rooms. The top floors will have penthouse apartments with rooftop terraces and winter gardens.

Currently the Aurum building, which is to be demolished, stands on the site as well as the historic ghetto wall and one of the remaining buildings of the Herman Jung brewery, which are to be restored and revitalised.

“We have a lot of experience in urban developments that combine construction work with the extensive modernisation of historic buildings,” states Artur Soczewica, the director of the Central Branch of Mostostal Warszawa. “For example we recently restored the Targowa Creativity Centre and Warsaw’s Praga Museum.

Construction work on the first stage of Mennica Residence is nearing completion. Two buildings with 188 apartments are to be completed in Q3 this year.
