ROMANIA Orbis, whose strategic partner is AccorHotels has signed a management contract for the Ibis Styles hotel in Bucharest with Construcții Erbașu.

“Orbis is the largest hotel group in Eastern Europe and our goal is to also become the leader in Romania, which is one of the fastest developing markets of the region. We can see the chance to develop our chain not only in the capital but also in the other popular business and tourist cities of the country. The appearance of Ibis Styles, a well-known and recognised brand in many countries, which assures guests an innovative approach and a memorable experience, is a confirmation of our development strategy in Romania,” said Gilles Clavie, the president and managing director of Orbis. The new hotel is to be opened in 2018 after a thorough renovation of an existing building near Bucharest’s business district. The hotel is to have 96 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. “We’re please that together with Orbis/AccorHotels we’re going to create the first ibis Styles hotel in Bucharest. We hope it is going to be a great success,” said Cristian Romeo Erbașu, the general director of Construcții Erbașu.
