Tarzan entrance for Megamag Rostov-on-Don
Megamag is being developed by local company Edinstvo in three phases, which are to total 110,000 sqm

RUSSIA The PandaPark rope park, with nine rope courses for all age groups, has leased 4,100 sqm of space in the Megamag shopping complex in Rostov-on-Don.

The main feature of the park will be the rope course that will enter the shopping-centre’s atrium at a height of over 20m. The rope courses will vary in height and difficulty.

“PandaPark interested us with their creative and brave ideas. We were able to use all floor area, including the atrium of the shopping centre with high rope courses for the most extreme visitors.

Megamag will be the first retail centre project in Rostov-on-Don with a large entertainment component," said Anastasia Makarova, a consultant in the retail department at CBRE in Russia.

Megamag is being developed by local developer Edinstvo in three phases, which are to total 110,000 sqm. The first phase was opened in December 2009 and includes an Auchan (13 690 sqm) hypermarket, Decathlon ( 6 129 sqm), M. video (2 169 sqm) and over 100 stores. The second phase will be opened in Q4 2017. The distinctive features of the second phase will be the redesigned external and internal premises of the shopping centre, designed by Chapman Taylor, and an improved tenant-mix.
