Mirbud beats the market

08 September 2017

POLAND The Mirbud Group has reported increase revenue of 11 pct for the first half of the year.

“Taking into consideration the data of the Central Statistical Office, which shows an 8 pct y-o-y rise in the construction industry at the end of June 2017, the increase in our revenue is greater than the growth in the market,” claims CEO Jerzy Mirgos. The group saw considerably higher revenue from its development operations and the sale of construction and assembly services as well as in engineering and road work. Construction and assembly services make up around 79 pct of its entire sales. Over the period the group was involved in a much higher number of warehouse construction projects. The construction contracts for projects currently in progress in Stryków, Pruszków, Wrocław, Koluszki, Komorniki and Wielenin are worth app. PLN 240 mln combined. “International warehouse developers provide around 25 pct of the company’s revenue every year. I believe that our market share will increase as a result of the healthy condition of the warehouse market in Poland,” he adds. In H1 2017 Mirbud completed five projects, for which it received over PLN 77 mln. It also started the construction of warehouse and production halls in six locations, as wella as two schools, three shopping centres and some residential buildings and engineering and road projects. The company has 24 current projects with combined contracts worth over PLN 2.2 bln gross combined. The company has a pipeline worth in excess of PLN 550 mln, with app. PLN 300 mln attributable to H2 2017.
