Unibail-Rodamco to buy into Prague mall
Metropole Zličín opened in 202
CZECH REPUBLIC Unibail-Rodamco is aiming to acquire a stake in the Metropole Zličín shopping centre in Prague 5.
An application has been received by EU competition bodies for the acquisition of the shares in the shopping centre’s owner CGI Metropole, a vehicle currently wholly owned by Commerz Real Investmentgesellschaft. The first phase of the centre was built in 2002 by Portland Trust Developments IV. In 2004 it was extended and the control over the property was acquired by Commerz Real Investmentgesellschaft for app. EUR 92 mln. Refurbishment work took place In 2014/2015. Metropole Zličín, which comprises 55,000 sqm gla, is managed by Pinnacle Central & Eastern Europe.
