Occupancy permit for Oliwa 505
Oliwa 505 is once again to become a hotel
POLAND Moderna Holding has been granted an occupancy permit for the Oliwa 505 building on al. Grunwaldzka in Gdańsk. Hampton by Hilton and Lidl are to start operating in the development soon.

“The project was quite a challenge for us – for the first time the construction work required the reconstruction of a historical centre. We carefully rebuilt the building which had housed an elegant hotel before the Second World Warsaw but after being vacated by a medical clinic it was neglected for many years. We are glad that we were able to return life to the place. Combining a 100-room hotel with a large-area store was an additional challenge. It is the only project of its kind in Europe,” says Adam Małaczek, the chairman of the board at Moderna. The hotel section, which has already officially been accepted into the Hilton Worldwide chain, is also to include an open-air restaurant and will open at the end of September. A Lidl supermarket is to occupy 1,200 sqm from the beginning of December, while companies that have signed office leases in the development include UPC, Tomma Diagnostyka Obrazowa, Cemor, K16 and Refundo. The development includes a former German manor house and a new centre designed by Wolski Architekci. The centre also includes 170 parking spaces including a number of spaces underground where there will also be a car wash.
