Eventually 20,000 sqm is to be added to the centre
ROMANIA the Sun Plaza shopping centre in Bucharest has been extended with over 25 new stores in what is the largest development project ever undertaken by Austrian investor S Immo.

With the extension, Lego and Forever 21 have both opened their largest stores in the country, while NYX, Pandora and MAC have also opened renovated stores. “High-quality properties are an important cornerstone of our success. By renovating our shopping centre, we can increase the value of the property and our portfolio on a lasting basis and secure income over the long term,” said Friedrich Wachernig, a member of S Immo’s management board. Additionally, by March 2018 a total of 20,000 sqm of new space is to be opened in the centre with up to 40 new stores. The concept for the renovation was designed by ATP Wien Planungs, one of the largest integrated planning agencies in Europe.
