Building big in New Moscow
A 26,500 sqm globus hypermarket is to be the anchor tenant of the project

RUSSIA Horus Group, owned by Russian billionaire Sergei Gordeev, is building the mixed-use Salaris complex, which is to be a part of the planned Salarievo transportation hub in the New Moscow district.

The 310,000 sqm complex (with 105,000 sqm of leasable space) is to open in Q1 2019. It will include a two-storey shopping centre with over 300 stores and a 10,000 sqm entertainment zone, with a family entertainment park, a multi-screen cinema, a children’s playground, restaurants and cafés. A 26,500 sqm globus hypermarket is to be the anchor tenant of the project. The centre was designed by a Hollywood Studio 5+design. CBRE and Knight Frank have been appointed co-exclusive marketing and leasing agents.

Salarievo is to be the largest transport hubs in Moscow combining a mixed-used centre and a bus station. The design is by Apex, while Boes Construction is the project’s general contractor and Essence Development is the project manager.

“New Moscow today is a rapidly developing area with an annual population growth of 100,000 people a year. Currently, there are already city permits to build more than 9 mln sq m of residential housing. By 2019 there will be 37 new residential clusters there and one of the biggest residential developments with a total area of around 1.5 mln sqm less than 500m from Salarievo park”, said Marina Malakhatko, head of retail department in Moscow, CBRE.
