DHL moves into Budapest Airport
The new warehouse has direct access to terminal 1 of Budapest Airport
HUNGARY DHL Express has recently moved into a new, tailor made warehouseof 6,000 sq m leased in Budapest Airport's new logistic facility built by Market Építő.

The lease also includes 2,400 sqm of office space. “DHL Express has already been present in Hungary for more than 25 years. The new lease agreement between Budapest Airport and DHL Express for 15 years clearly reflects the commitment of the Deutsche Post DHL Group to Hungary and the airport,” said Zoltán Bándli, the managing director of DHL Express Hungary. “The new warehouse will give DHL space to accommodate the growth in the volume of our business. With new state-of-the-art sorting technology, which includes fully automatic shipment processing, we will be able to process more than 6,000 pieces per hour, which is three times our former capacity,” he added. CBRE Hungary was appointed as building manager for the project by Budapest Airport. The new facility has direct access to the Terminal 1 cargo apron and will also provide space for TNT. András Farkas, project manager at CBRE Hungary stated: “Although it was very difficult and intense to step in to a project on such short notice. The final result and the client's satisfaction proved to be the greatest reward of our efforts.”
