Water tower to become hotel
The tower was designed by Karl Klimm

POLAND Construction firm Adamietz ahas bought the company that owns the water tower in Wrocław, which is to be converted into a hotel with office space.

The 62m structure was design by German architect Karl Klimm and built in 1905. Renovation work began on the tower in 1995 after it was purchased from the city by a company owned by Helmut Stephan. The centre now includes a restaurant. “In recognition of the work of Mr Stephan’s, who renovated the tower with great care and maintained it in beautiful form, we want to honour the tower with his name. Stephan Tower will be a meeting spot, which just as it has done up to now will include a restaurant as well as a hotel, which is to be opened on the upper floors. We want to set aside part of the centre for offices, which will be occupied by our Wrocław branch,” said Rajmund Adamietz, the owner and CEO of Adamietz. Top Property Partners (TPP) advised the seller on the transaction while legal services were provided by Krzysztof A. Krawczyk from the Preston & Hampton law office. “It was an unusual challenge for us because of the historical nature of the centre as well as the size of the transaction since we usually advise on larger projects. However, as a resident of Wrocław, I really wanted this historical centre to be able to use its full potential for the next few years,” commented Grzegorz Trubiłowicz from TPP.
