Dekada to grow by 20,000 sqm
Every month the centre is visited by around 150,000 people.
POLAND The Dekada shopping centre on ul. Reymonta in Skierniewice is to be extended by four levels with a combined area of 20,200 sqm.

The local authorities have passed a new zoning plan that allows for the enlargement of the centre. “Currently arrangements with the town are being made to acquire the additional land for the development. The development concept has already been agreed upon and the building is currently under design. We are planning to start the work in H2 0218 and to complete the project at the beginning of 2020,” says Aleksander Walczak, CEO of Dekada, the owner and developer of the mall. “Every month the centre is visited by around 150,000 people. We took the decision to extend the centre because of its potential and the ear on year increases in our tenants’ turnovers. We want to offer our tenants a modern space which meets their requirements and offer our clients a broader range of stores,” explains Michał Belta, the director of Dekada Skierniewice. Two new storeys with a retail area of 8,200 sqm are to be added as well as two underground levels with 280 extra parking places. Currently the mall has a retail area of 3,400 sqm with 16 stores including Tesco, Rossmann, Empik, RTV Euro AGD, CCC, and Deichmann. BOIG Property Consulting is responsible for the commercialization.
