High Five for Skanska
The building in Prague was awarded 89 points
CZECH REPUBLIC Skanska’s Five office development in Smíchov has been awarded the LEED ‘Platinum’ certification for core and shell.

It was awarded 89 points in the assessment, the highest score for a speculative project in the country.

LED lights are used throughout the entire building, which also features daylight management in offices and the use of elevators with energy recuperation. Other environmentally friendly systems include the collection of rainwater for greenery watering and the use of a highly efficient cooling system.

“The efficient air filtration, the use of cooling beams, enhanced air circulation and the CO2 monitoring ensure a high-quality indoor environment for the tenants,” commented Marie Passburg, the managing director of Skanska Property Czech Republic.

It was announced in June that the 14,400 sqm gla building had been sold to Triuva for EUR 50 mln.
