Koneser awarded ‘Excellent’

The investors (Liebrecht & Wood and BBI Development) have stated that in the certification the project scored highly for its excellent location near important transport hubs, for its parking facilities and cycling infrastructure as well as for its use of greenery and its monitoring of water and electricity consumption. “The construction of the centre is being carried out to strict ecological standards. We are using certified materials that improve the quality of air. We’ve introduce innovative greenery planning (flower meadows, green roofs), which meet the detailed recommendations of ecologists,” claims Dominika Nowakowska, a project manager at Liebrecht & Wood Poland. Centrum Praskie Koneser is a mixed-use project between ul. Ząbkowska, ul. Markowska, ul. Białostocka and ul. Nieporęcka in Warsaw’s Praga district. The former vodka distillery buildings are being transformed into 88,000 sqm of commercial premises with office, retail and service space. “The award of a BREEAM Interim certificate with an ‘Excellent’ rating to Centrum Praskie Koneser confirms that the investors have met very high ecological criteria in terms of energy and water savings, construction materials, ventilation and user comfort. The project also received a very high score for its excellent transportation,” says Dominik Włodarczyk, the BREEAM assessor from Sweco Consulting.
