Ground breaks under Hilton

POLAND The groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Poznań.

The project is being built at the junction of ul. Święty Marcin and ul. Pogórna, while the surrounding area is being modernised. The new hotel is to be completed in the summer of next year. The investor is BB Old Town and the architectural design is by AGK Architekci studio with PTB Nickel acting as the general contractor. The construction of the Hampton by Hilton at ul. Święty Marcin 6 started in February this year. The end of the work is planned for the summer of 2018. The plot which has been undeveloped until now is to include am eight-floor building will have eight floors, an underground car park. The building supervision is carried out by the Municipal Historical Preservation Officer. “We are pleased that the project is being built by a Poznań-based contractor,” says Grzegorz Ganowicz, the president of the City Council. With 117 rooms, Hampton in Poznań will be able to accommodate 50,000 guests per year. The facilities will include a fitness area, a conference rooms, a computer room, a bar and a restaurant. The building will be fully accessible to the disabled.
