Sunny October for Mirbud
Marywilska 44 will welcome its first customers in late November or early December
POLAND Mirbud was awarded two new contracts in October with a combined gross value of almost PLN 56 mln.
These include the construction project for the second Poviat Police Headquarters in Szczecin. Mirbud has also been chosen as the general contractor of a nursery school on ul. Bydgoska in Świnoujście, which is to be built for almost PLN 20 mln gross. This will include eight classrooms for 200 children, including wheelchair access. In October the construction company also completed a warehouse in Wrocław for MLP Group as well as construction work on an entertainment and sports centre in Gliwice. This is one of the company’s largest recent projects. The value of the contract comes to more than PLN 330 mln, which will be included in its 2017 results.

In October Mirbud was involved in 13 tenders, worth a total of PLN 1.35 bln. The company’s bids of PLN 66.5 mln were selected in two of the tenders. Mirbud’s development arm, JHM Development, completed 30 residential and retail/service units in October, while 79 presales (preliminary and development contracts) were secured in this period. The company has completed and sold 255 residential and retail/service units since the beginning of the year.

The Marywilska 44 shopping centre in Warsaw’s Białołęka district, which is owned by JHM Development, reached a leasing level of almost 95 pct in October. Meanwhile, adjacent to the shopping centre, the construction of the company’s Wodny Park Handlowy Marywilska 44 retail park is nearing completion. An application for the occupancy permit has been made and the first few tenants are carrying out fit-out work to open their shops later this month and in subsequent months. Customers should able to do first shopping at the end of November or early December, but the official opening of the retail park has been scheduled for next spring. The park will comprise 2,700 sqm of leasable space including in the in the eatery zone.
