Tomek graduated from the faculty of modern languages at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he also started his journalist career in the late 1980s. He has worked in the real estate press since 2005, covering the residential market for ‘Eurobuild CEE’ magazine as well as the new technologies and property management sectors. Sometimes he can be heard on Polish Radio 2, where he reviews the press on the morning programme. At other times he can be seen in the Bieszczady or Beskid Niski mountains, where he enjoys rambling with no fixed purpose or destination in mind.

POLAND Belgian developer Matexi Polska is starting its latest Warsaw project – a luxury apartment building at ul. Grzybowska 37 close to the city’s centre.

The developer is holding an architectural competition for the development of the site, but it is already known that the 17-storey building will comprise app. 200 apartments and a car park on the two underground levels. “This is another important step in the development of the company in Poland,” comments Mirosław Bednarek, the president of Matexi Polska. “The location of the plot is its greatest asset – in the second line of development behind the Westin hotel, separating the building from the heavy street traffic,” he adds. Matexi Polska expects to receive the building permit for the project in H2 2018.
