Panattoni to build for Ontex
The 11 ha site will provide room for expansion for a further 50,000 sqm if needed

POLAND Panattoni Europe is to build a 26,000 sqm factory in Radomsko for Ontex, a Belgian producer of personal hygiene products.

The factory, which is to be leased for 15 years, will be on a 11 ha site within the Łódź Special Economic Zone (ŁSSE). It will have a 7,500 sqm production hall, a 5,400 sqm warehouse for storing components and a 9,000 sqm warehouse for finished products, as well as staff and office facilities of over 2,000 sqm. The construction is scheduled to start in early December and end in July 2018. JLL represented the tenant.

This will be the first factory of Ontex in Poland. “the new factory in Radomsko will help us fulfil our ambitions to grow, create new jobs in the region and ensure the satisfaction of our continually growing client and customer base in Central and Eastern Europe,” said Charlez Bouaziz, the CEO of Ontex. Initially, the company will employ 170 people and invest around EUR 40 mln in the first stage. The 11 ha site will provide room for expansion for a further 50,000 sqm if needed with the possible number of those employed to eventually reach up to 350 people.

“The factory will be fully adapted to house the client’s manufacturing processes and will be built in what is for them a strategic location – near the E75, which connects Warsaw with Silesia and forms part of the A1 motorway,” said Marek Foryński, the managing director of BTS Group at Panattoni Europe.
