Birstonas Royal Hotel Spa is an existing hotel that will turn into Mercure Birstonas Royal Hotel Spa
LITHUANIA Birstonas Royal Hotel Spa is to be the sixth Mercure branded hotel in Lithuania.

From 2019, the hotel will operate as part of the Orbis Hotel group under a franchise agreement. “Joining the Mercure brand and the AccorHotels/Orbis Group was a strategic decision for our hotel. We trust that the Le Club AccorHotels loyalty programme, as well as the global sales and reservation system will help us strengthen our market position. We plan to slightly change our positioning with a greater focus on international guests. We would also like our employees to have more international experience, take part in training programmes and we would like to give them international career opportunities,” said Rimantas Šimkevičius, the hotel general manager.

Mercure Birstonas Royal Hotel Spa is in the spa town of Birštonas on the river Nemunas.

The hotel has four stars with 150 rooms of various standards, as well as conference facilities, a restaurant and a bar, spa area with swimming pools, sauna and health treatment centre. The hotel also features winter garden and a fully-equipped cinema screening room.

“The Mercure network is very strong in Europe and the brand is well known among business and leisure travellers. The Lithuanian economy is growing very fast and by entering this long-term partnership, we want to fully profit from the business environment,” stated Frank Reul, the head of development for Eastern Europe at Orbis Hotel Group.
