Dekada does not idle time away
Retail & leisureDekada’s 2018 plans include the construction of centres in Nysa, Konin and Mińsk Mazowiecki. Apart from that the company is to extend its facility in Skierniewice and put the extended Dekada shopping centre in Grójec, into operation. Dekada in Nysa will be a two-storey building with a leasable area of 19,000 sqm. It will include 80 shops, restaurants and cafes as well as an entertainment area offering a four-screen cinema. At the beginning of 2018 Dekada will apply for a building permit. The construction process will last about one and a half years. Furthermore, the company will extend its chain to new shopping and transport centres in Mińsk Mazowiecki and Konin. The projects will be carried out in cooperation with the Polish State Railway (PKP) and its subsidiary Xcity Investment. The construction of Dekada Konin is to be launched in the spring of 2018 and Dekada Mińsk Mazowiecki – in autumn. The extension of Dekada in Skierniewice will also start in autumn 2018. Four floors with a total area of 20,250 sqm are to be added, of which the two underground floors will be earmarked for a car park for motorized customers which will offer app. 280 spaces. The above-ground floors will provide a commercial area of app. 8,250 sqm, which will be occupied by a dozen or so retail outlets of tenants representing the fashion, gastronomy and service sectors. Meanwhile in the middle of 2018 the investors will finish the extension of its centre in Grójec. Dekada Grójec located on ul. Armii Krajowej is a convenience centre. The work was launched in September 2017. The centre is to be extended by a leasable area of nearly 3,000 sqm, thanks to which its total leasable area will amount to 8,700 sqm. “In Dekada we have been consistently developing facilities which are in line with the style and rhythm of life of consumers and create a new dimension of urban space. Thus our revitalization projects at bus and railway stations, which we will carry out together with PKP in Konin and Mińsk Mazowiecki, as well as locating the projects which are dominant on given markets in city centres, like it is the case with Galeria Dekada in Nysa, which will be integrated with the historical character of the capital city. In accordance with customers’ expectations Galeria Dekada in Nysa will have a broader scope of services, including gastronomy ones, as well as a four-screen cinema multiplex,” says Aleksander Walczak, president of the board at Dekada. The developer completed 11 shopping centres all over the country: in Brodnica, Ciechanów, Grójec, Kraków, Malbork, Myślenice, Nowy Targ, Olsztyn, Sieradz, Skierniewice and Żyrardów. BOIG Property Consulting is responsible for the lease of Dekada facilities.
