New skyscraper in New Year

Eurobuild CEE 05 December 2017

POLAND Immobel is announcing the launch of the construction work on the Central Point office building in Warsaw, which was formerly known as CBD One, at the end of Q1 and early Q2 2018.

The project is to be built at the junction of ul. Marszałkowska and ul. Świętokrzyska. The project already has a legally building permit. The investor has reported that intensive design and engineering work is currently in progress. Immobel announces that the office building, which is to be suspended over the Świętokrzyska station of the underground will features the latest structural and interior design solutions. The authors of the design of the tower block are: Biuro Projektowe Kazimierski i Ryba and Paris branch of Arquitectonica. The architects from Paris redesigned the entire facade of the building, which was originally planned. They have recently been working on the lobby so as to make more functional and attractive for users. In the ultimate design the developer also opted for two terraces on floors four and seven. The top floor has a mezzanine. The transport within the building will take place by six fast lifts. The fully glazed facade will guarantee continuous access to daylight. The design of the building envisages a flexible design of an office area (939 sqm), window shutters, a clear floor height of 275 cm and efficient ventilation. Immobel Poland is currently working on the introduction of new technical solutions and optimisation of the area. The company has also recently made the design of the car park clearer. The new building will be located in the direct vicinity of two lines of the underground, part of its structure will be suspended over the tunnel of the first line while four lowermost floors will be based on the roof of the underground station. Such a design requires a very complicated technical structure. Because of a number of engineering challenges, all the work must be carried out in cooperation with the Metro Warszawskie company. The 21-storey office building including services, which will have a total area of 19,100 sqm, is to be completed in mid-2020.
