Sephora expands online
POLAND The Sephora chain of perfumeries has seen rapid growth in its online sales since it first set up its online store four years ago.

“The number of hits on our site grew by 40 pct year on year,” says Małgorzata Kwiecień the senior digital manager at Sephora. “After launching online sales in 2014, we have won new customers. We have reached markets where we do not have traditional perfumeries. The Customers of our brick and mortar stores visit us online, for example to check for new products or product availability, just as often as their favourite brick and mortar perfumery where they can test out a product,” adds Małgorzata Kwiecień. Over the last three years the company has recorded online sales growth of well over 20 pct. Sephora follows an omnichannel approach integrating both offline and online sales channels to offer the customer the same shopping experience. “Our clients love new products and know that they can find them in Sephora. Keeping the customer in mind, we have created the Beauty Bord communication channel where opinions about our products can be shared. Last year we also launched the Sephora app for smartphones,” says Małgorzata Kwiecień. Sephora has also announced that it is to develop its logistics systems. “We are striving to create a positive shopping experience, which is why we continuously on optimise our logistics operations, as a result of which we hope an even larger number of customers will be pleased by Sephora’s online perfumery and the services we offer,” she adds.
