Unify Square enters Vilnius

LITHUANIA Unify Square a US company that develops software for managing Microsoft products including Skype for Business, will open an office in Vilnius.

The company is to employ 20 programmers who will be responsible for developing new products. Currently, the company’s software is used by companies such as Unilever, Nestle, Shell and Deloitte. The company is headquartered is in Bellevue, Washington and has offices in Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Australia and India. Till now, product development units have only been located in the US and Switzerland. The Vilnius office is to work closely with the American office. The company plans to focus on data clouds and artificial intelligence. “During the final selection stage for the new headquarters, Lithuania was in competition for this project with other countries from Europe and Asian. However, this is not the first time Lithuania has won this type of race, especially when it comes to investment projects with high added value, which require not only a large pool of labour but also appropriate skills,” says Mantas Katinas, the general director of foreign investment agency Invest Lietuva. Unify Square currently employs 125 people. The founders of the company are former Microsoft software developers and its current president – John Case a former vice president of Office and Office 365 at Microsoft.
